EMERGE.

SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP Development

EMERGE is designed to empower professionals and community leaders with the resources they need to advance sustainability within their networks. Participants gain exposure to a range of progressive and expert insight while working to build the necessary skills to help them shape and achieve sustainability focused goals.

About the Program

Over the course of the six month program, EMERGE participants will form a solid foundation of relevant knowledge and skills through various demonstrations, lectures, hands-on projects, and think tank sessions. With the assistance of integrated guidance and support, members will work to become effective social entrepreneurs and change agents for healthier and more resilient organizations and communities.

EMERGE participants will address real-world sustainability issues related to their interests and professional goals; build a network with program colleagues, mentors, community leaders, and other sustainability experts; and develop the framework needed to apply new concepts and theories to community-based projects that engage others and build on their leadership strengths.

Why EMERGE?

Businesses and organizations of all types and sizes seek leaders who can help shift their practices to support sustainability. Communities need citizens prepared to help develop real solutions for the challenges they face.

Who should participate?

EMERGE leadership sessions will consist of 25-35 individuals from diverse backgrounds and with a wide variety of degrees and professional experience. This diversity allows the group to learn from each other as they develop strong professional bonds.

Professionals and community leaders age 26 or older are invited to apply to be a part of EMERGE.
